With reference to my previous request for rollback rights submitted on 24 September 2024link and the advice received, I would like to re-submit my request. I have actively patrolled recent changes, reverting unconstructive or disruptive edits, addressing vandalism, and consistently warning editors. In more severe cases, I have reported offenders to administrators for further action and also requested for page protection. I have primarily used Twinkle for these tasks, alongside performing manual reverts. I believe that rollback rights would be a valuable addition to the tools currently available to me and going forward. Thank you. QEnigma (talk) 00:54, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

- An IP user was making numerous changes to articles containing Korean language links without providing sufficient explanation. Lacking familiarity with the language, I initially considered this a potentially disruptive mass-edit event. I reverted some of the edits and posted warnings to the user, which went unanswered. I subsequently reported the matter to the administrators, where another user pointed out that, although the changes were not necessarily unconstructive, the editor should have provided much clearer edit summaries. - I see that you are failing to consistently warn editors when you revert their edits (e.g. 1, 2, 3). Why? It's important to leave a notification for every revert you make (especially when reverting good faith edits). Are you aware of tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet which make this extremely easy? -Fastily 08:12, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- I do for ~99% vandalism reverts, and +210 warns. 2 forgotten reverts and 1 LTA revert. Ampil (Ταικ • Cοnτribυτιοns) 13:54, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Fastily Yes, and I try do it also, I warning editors, and sending messages saves form the UV menu. Ampil (Ταικ • Cοnτribυτιοns) 09:09, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Fastily diffs
- WP:DENY, Toad4707 is a LTA, does warn.
- No explanation.
- bad faith revert no exlanation
- Thanks. Ampil (Ταικ • Cοnτribυτιοns) 08:29, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Toad4707 wasn't locally blocked or g-locked at the time you made the revert. Unless you've got a crystal ball, how could you possibly have known that? Not that it matters anyways, in this situation WP:DENY isn't a valid excuse to skip warnings. Also, I see you've neglected to leave notifications again for these reverts (1, 2) -Fastily 08:56, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

Also WP:DENY, LTA reverts. 1st on Wikipedia:WikiProject Computing very old revert, dose not warn. 2nd on Talk:Camera, No explanation forgot it. Thanks. I enjoy Disambiguation links and a certain small portion are the result of vandalism. About a week ago I found myself matching links on an article for a very young children's show, it had been vandalized with some crude language and I'm assuming they placed links in order to fool the filter.
I was in the situation of having to manually undo and I have in the past painstakingly gone through line by line, because although I just wanted to Disambiguate some links, I can't leve an article like that, especially one that children might go to. Luckily, this time I was able to ask a sysop who had recently edited the page for help. Since then I've been going back and forth as to whether I should make this request.
I know, I meet the minimum requirements and I definitely feel like my request is for the correct reason. I have no doubts that I could probably find some sysop willing to trust me but having my edit history scrutinized and questioned officially seems the more appropriate route even if my request is not granted.
I meet the mainspace edit requirement. I have previously patrolled recent edits fairly closely but currently only patrol it once or twice a day. A few monthes back I had an accusation of edit warring which was stricken out, it can be found in my talk page archive. I generally try to have communication with editors even if I'm not undoing their edit directly, communication and edit summaries are very important to me. I have been working on reverting vandalism and disruptive edits for some time now. Roll back permissions will allow me to use tools such as Twinkle etc. more effectively. I have a fairly good understanding of the policies involved. Wikibear47 (talk) 15:29, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

I want to have a rollback rights because i am committed to support anti-vandalism here in Wikipedia. I have experienced tools like Twinkle and Ultraviolet that helps me to tags and revert some unnecessarily sources and obvious vandalism like IP Address or new users. By giving this grant of rollback, I can contribute more effectively here to maintaining the integrity of all articles in Wikipedia. If it's any wrong reverts or not necessarily to revert, I would take full responsibility on my actions but I will be more careful and to be lesson in the future. Hi, I previously had Rollback rights but requested them to be removed ([5]) due to stepping away for a while. I'd like to request Rollback again in order to be able to use Huggle to deal with vandalism faster, as this will likely be the primary area I help out with on the project. Thanks for the consideration. Rin (talk) 01:08, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
