[edit]- 15 January – A Cameroonian peacekeeper in MINUSCA is killed and five others are injured in an explosion in Mbindale, Lim-Pendé, Central African Republic. [1]
- 4 July – Brenda Biya [fr], the daughter of President Paul Biya, publicly announces her same-sex relationship using an image kissing another woman, despite same-sex relationships being illegal in Cameroon and punishable by fines and possible imprisonment.[2]
- 26 July - 11 August: Cameroon at the 2024 Summer Olympics[3][4]
- 25 September – Authorities in Norway announce the arrest of a German national of Cameroonian origin on suspicion of inciting crimes against humanity during the Anglophone Crisis.[5]
- 30 September – FIFA bans Cameroonian Football Federation president Samuel Eto'o from attending matches of the Cameroon national football team for six months for “offensive behavior and violations of the principles of fair play” and misconduct of officials.[6]
