An indirect presidential election is scheduled to be held in Fiji on 31 October 2024, in which members of parliament will elect the president. Incumbent Speaker of the Parliament of Fiji Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is nominated by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka to serve his first term, while the candidate from the opposition has not been announced yet.[1]
